    Can't Sleep With Insomnia Try Cooling Your Brain

    Insomnia is a state which occurs when a person suffers from sleeping problems, like not getting a good and sound sleep. In fact, as such sleeping disorders lead to some behavioral distresses, so insomnia is also known as a sign and symptom for many psychiatric sicknesses as well. And even if sleep occurs here in this case, then it is of a very poor quality, means it is not relaxing in nature. Because of this, insomnia is typically followed by functional impairment while one is awake.

    Some experts even define this problem as a difficulty in initiating and maintaining sleep, it is associated with the impairments of daytime functioning or marked as a distress that lasts for more than 1 month. However, here is this new research that has underlined that if you cool your brain for sometime then you can get a good and fine quality of sleep for proper relaxing of your body system.     This research was presented at the annual meeting of the Associated Profession Sleep Societies. It underlined the fact that, cooling the brain can reduce the amount of time needed to sleep down in people who suffer from insomnia. And it even increases their sleeping time for a longer period for giving utmost relaxation to the body.

    For the proper study, this research was done on 24 people, 12 with insomnia and 12 without it. They were made to wear a plastic cap. These caps had tubes for circulating water at neutral, moderate or maximum cooling intensity.

    Thereafter, the experts observed that how these participants slept at different temperature levels with and without caps. They found that patients with insomnia while wearing caps that was set at maximum cooling intensity took only 13 minutes to fall asleep. In fact, they slept for 89 percent of time while they were in their beds. And those participants who were not having this problem took 16 minutes to sleep down and they also slept for 89 percent of time in their bed. So it was concluded out that, it is the maximum ''cooling intensity'' of the brain that helps in getting rid of insomnia and therefore he/she can get a good sleep.
